We’ve had our fair share of memorable moments at hotel bars. Whether it be on a business trip or a solo jaunt, the hotel bar is a place where traveling strangers gather to blow off steam after long flights and long meetings. All the crazy stuff that happens is fodder for Bad Times at the El Royale, a coming film from writer, director Drew Goddard (Lost, The Cabin in the Woods). The film stars Jeff Bridges, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Chris Hemsworth, and a slew of other recognizable names as a group of strangers who meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a dilapidated hotel with a dark past. We’re sold after watching the trailer. Bad Times at the El Royale hits theaters October 12.
