‘Dunkirk’ Official Main Trailer

Christopher Nolan knows a thing or two about ambitious projects. We mean, look at his resume. Memento. Inception. The Dark Knight and subsequent follow-ups. His most ambitious to date, however, might be Dunkirk, because, in a way, it’s so different from what he’s excelled at. Dunkirk centers on the Dunkirk evacuation, a mission during the Second World War to rescue Allied soldiers surrounded by German forces. There’s no room for fun, theoretical twists. There are no beloved characters ready for a clever refresh. There’s only a true story waiting to be told. Based on this trailer, there’s no reason to doubt Nolan can tell it wonderfully.
