Anyone can pick up a pad a draw a concept vehicle; what sets Jans Slapins’s designs apart is he attempts to come as close to what is possible and what is probable. Take for example the Tesla Model M, Slapins’s concept for a bike from Mr. Musk. Conceived with a 150kW electric motor, low-hanging lithium-ion batters, and a pair of carbon fiber wheels, the futuristic two-wheeler feels very much Tesla. And with the extra space, Slapins carved out some room for helmet and gear storage. Everything down to the lights and lines looks like it could have come out of the same plant that rolls out the Model S.
