St George Spirits, which launched in 1982, is one of the country’s most experimental distilleries, offering a variety of artisanal, award-winning boozy offerings. To celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary St. George is releasing a limited edition 40th Anniversary Edition Single Malt Whiskey. This extremely rare offering is the product of just 14 barrels, which were whittled down from a total of 600 — ranging from four years old to one of the earliest casks the distillery ever used — as they didn’t contribute the characteristics they were looking to express in this particular blend. The result, which yielded a grand total of just 1,982 bottles, offers a dynamic and complex drinking experience with flavor notes of dark chocolate, salted caramel, coconut, and baking spices.
Additionally, St. George Spirits is marking the occasion with a donation of $40,000 to the STEPUP Foundation, an organization that aims to provide underserved individuals with opportunities, training, and mentorship to enter the spirits industry.
The limited edition release of St. George’s 40th Anniversary Edition Single Malt Whiskey drops on November 12 and has an MSRP of $500.
