We’ve been big fans of Brooklyn’s Knickerbocker Mfg. Co. ever since we they were one of the brands we found at the New York City men’s shows a few years ago. Whether it’s baseball caps, tees, beanies, bags, coats or other apparel, the attention to detail and quality put into every piece that they produce the old fashioned way makes it something you want to add to your collection. And now, they’ve collaborated with The New York Times–yes, that NYT–to create a capsule collection of pieces available through the NYTStore. Cards on the table, we have no idea why any of these pieces exist except for that fact that the paper wanted something to sell other than, well, newspapers, but that doesn’t make them any less cool. The “T” branded caps are worthy of consideration. The logo and slogan tees are also acceptable if you’re a huge NYT fan. But the piece de resistance is the Photographer Work Jacket inspired by the “French blues” worn by factory works in the late 1800s. The semi-brushed, 100% cotton twill chore jacket (let’s just call it what it is) is available in blue or charcoal.
