In the not so distant past we spent some time talking about the new Shinola Runwell Watch. There were a lot of things to love about that watch--especially the fact that it's built in Detroit. Because of the quality, attention to detail and US production, Shinola was tapped by a huge Detroit powerhouse to produce a watch for a pretty momentous occasion. The 50th Anniversary of the original pony car, the Mustang, is in 2014, and Ford had Shinola produce 1,000 special edition watches to commemorate it. It's decked out almost exactly like you'd expect a Mustang watch to be: mustang logo, stainless case with rotating top ring, domed sapphire dial and black leather strap. Much like the Mustang itself, this quality piece of machinery won't murder your bank account.
The giant TSOVET timing gauges built like tanks are phenomenal. They're huge statement pieces that almost double as a trip to the gym for your off hand. That's great for most situations, but sometimes the only statement worth making is a more minimal one. The SVT-CN38 is the watch for just such an occasion. It's still ... continue reading

It takes a considerably large set of balls to up and decide you want to make your own watch. Michael Saiger designs some really freaking cool wrist candy with his label MIANSAI. There are literally hundreds of different options when ... continue reading
We look at a lot of pretty pictures on the Internet every day. Most of them are related to cool products, and we share the good ones with you. The Shinola Runwell Watch came way out of left field. Right off the bat, there is absolutely nothing about this watch that we don't like. The leather strap is premium Horween. ... continue reading
The Quad watch from Nixon isn't new. The slim profile, minimalist military watch was available before in a variety of band and face colors and styles. What wasn't available before now was the black face with yellow hand accents and, most importantly, nylon woodland camo strap. Like most other Nixon products, The Quad ... continue reading

The idea of taking a vintage watch and putting a shiny new strap on it is nothing new. Throne Watches is going about the whole thing in a slightly different way, though. You won't find any watches badged Rolex, or Omega, or IWC, or Panerai. What you will find is a few numbers from Casio, some unpronounceable foreign ... continue reading
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Form Function Form has some serious admirers because a certain Kickstarter project ripped off their Button-Stud Weekender design wholesale. Rather than supporting an obvious charlatan (we've always wanted to have a reason to use that in a sentence), buy the original ... continue reading

It's got all the details and precision you're used to in a traditional ... continue reading
We've been big fans of Military Watch Co. (MWC) for a while, but after this watch it borders on obsession. The watches designed by MWC are all fantastic, but the primary reason we really love this one is because it bears a striking resemblance to a Rolex. In our opinion, getting a 46mm 21 jewel automatic watch with ... continue reading
