DIY: Modern Concrete Fire Pit

Doing It Yourself isn’t always the easiest or cheapest option, but odds are you won’t find anything more satisfying than finishing a DIY project with your own two hands. Each week, we’re going to showcase one cool DIY project tutorial from around the web. Hanging out around the fire with friends (with adult beverages, obviously) is one of our favorite pastimes. Unfortunately, we don't all have the space to build an in ground firepit. You could just buy one of those canister style, three tier options from the big box store, but everyone knows those fall apart after you use them a few times. They also don't look anywhere near as good as this Modern Concrete Fire Pit, which also happens to be cheaper to build. Check out the full walkthrough that Chris Gardner posted over at ManMade DIY. ... continue reading

The Smokestack Outdoor Firepit Is Fit For A Castle

During his youth, designer Frederik Roijé was inspired by the design of industrial chimneys in Holland. We've been there. Hell, we still think smokestacks are cool. It's the healthy way to kill a hangover fast. ... check it out
