The first season of HBO’s True Detective remains one of our favorite seasons of a TV show ever. As we all know, what followed that standout season was less than stellar. Okay, it flat-out sucked. Nic Pizzolatto tries to get the series back on track in Season 3, which, again, features an entire new cast of characters. Mahershala Ali grabs the reins this time as a detective whose life has been consumed by a case of missing children in the Ozarks. We’ve seen little teaser clips, but this is the first official trailer for the coming season. We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, but this looks on point, and it hopefully marks a return to form for the show.
