Richie Lanz is a music manager who gets lampooned in Afghanistan, finds a brilliant singer and takes her to Kabul to compete on Afghan Star. Lanz is played by Bill Murray, which is reason enough to go see the movie, but the cast also includes Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel, Danny McBride, Scott Caan and Bruce Willis. If the tiny clip of Bill Murray performing “Smoke on the Water” at the end of the trailer is any indication, this movie is going to be fucking hilarious.
