While current Jennifer Lawrence buzz centers on her role in Darren Aronofsky’s batshit crazy Mother!, there’s another project on the horizon that will soon be the focus. Red Sparrow sees Lawrence take on the role of a Russian spy, seducing her way to her targets. Based on the trailer, it feels a little like Under the Skin meets Bond meets Black Widow. In other words, we’re in. Red Sparrow is based on the book of the same name by Jason Matthews, and also stars Joel Edgerton and Mary-Louise Parker. The film won’t hit theaters until March 2, 2018, but you can get your first look by watching the trailer above.
