Ferrari Testarossa. Lamborghini Countach. Buick Grand National GNX. They’re all cool cars from the 80s. But if you asked anyone what they thought was the most iconic car from the 80s, we’re willing to be the answer would be the DeLorean. The story of the stainless-clad, gull-wing opening DeLorean DMC-12 is fascinating, but it’s nowhere near as interesting as the man behind the brand. Framing John DeLorean is an upcoming documentary / biopic film starring Alec Baldwin and Morena Baccarin that aims to tell the story of the real John DeLorean through modern recreations, archival footage and dramatic vignettes. “Cocaine. Hot chicks. Sports cars. Bombed out buildings. Margaret Thatcher. Ronald Reagan. FBI agents. Hardcore drug dealers.” The true story is more fascinating than anything we could have imagined. Framing John DeLorean hits theaters and iTunes on June 7th. It’s gonna be one helluva ride.

G5-Cool-Material

Vaer has been one of our favorite watchmakers for as long as we can remember because they produce new, classic watches based on iconic designs. Case in point, the Vaer G5 Meridian watch you see here. This timepiece is a 1950s-inspired 20ATM automatic watch that’s USA-assembled, dual timezone, built with ocean-ready functionality, self-winding and the brand’s first true GMT (the latest version of their core dive watch design). What’s more, it pays homage to other watches that are incredibly more expensive or hard to come by whilst also adding new aspects that makes this Vaer G5 Meridian watch more desirable than the other options in our opinion.
