Portrait of my grandfather : 80 and still cycling from Florent Piovesan on Vimeo.

When we were kids, having a bike meant we could go places. It didn’t matter if it was school or to a friends house. Having a bike meant freedom, freedom to do things and explore our world. And while we all grow up (and drive cars), for some that passion for what cycling means never goes away. Benjamin Piovesan knows this intimately as he still rides as much as possible while nearing 80 years old. So to celebrate his life and his embracing all that is cycling, his grandson Florent Piovesan crafted him a present. Check it out here.

Unzip your coat and have some mulled wine on the house—you’ve arrived at your final gifting destination: The Holiday Gift Guide. It’s like your friendly neighborhood one-stop holiday shop, except instead of balsa wood ornaments, ours is packed with thoughtful gifts for everyone on your list. Future heirlooms, small-but-significant stocking stuffers, and gear for getting out there (or staying in)—are all right here. There’s no music playing in the background though, so you’ll just have to hum Bing Crosby while you click around instead.
