This past weekend marked the launch of Arthur Ashe, the brand eponymously named after the legendary tennis star himself. Ashe’s legacy spans social movements, the HIV crisis of the 1980s and a nearly unparalleled record on the court (Ashe is the only black man to ever win the singles title at the US Open, Wimbledon, and the Australian Open).
This new line will be a tennis and lifestyle brand that takes cues from retro athletic wear updated for the modern wearer. This is done with the help of partnering with Rowing Blazers, the streetwear kings of the collab, and avid fans of sports apparel, as the name indicates.
