When you think of style icons, Albert Einstein doesn’t really pop up alongside David Bowie and Steve McQueen. There is one article of clothing, however, that Einstein wore well, and that’s his mid-1930s Levi’s Menlo Coassack leather jacket. Often paired with a pipe and a chalkboard, the leather jacket became an Einstein staple, one Levi’s would purchase from Christie’s in 2016 in an effort to preserve it. Not only has Levi’s preserved the jacket, they’ve recreated it. Part of the Spring/Summer 2018 collection, this Menlo Cossack Jacket is just like the one Einstein wore. All you need is a pipe and a life-altering theory to pair with it.
