Iridium Torpedo

The world is filled with microbrand dive watches, and most of them don’t exactly set themselves apart from the crowd. The Iridium Torpedo rightly ticks all the important dive watch boxes: 316L stainless steel construction, 300-meter water resistance, unidirectional bezel, sapphire crystal, Super-Luminova BGW9 lume on the markers and hands (even the bezel and the logo on the screw-down crown are BGW9 lumed), and a ratcheting diver extension clasp. But it also adds a sunburst dial available in six colors, a vintage-style domed shape for its crystal, a supremely comfortable five-link bracelet, and a gunmetal hue for its bezel, all of which give the Torpedo a unique look that’s not derivative or common. Powering the Torpedo is the ever-reliable and supremely smooth Miyota 9015 automatic movement, a huge plus at this price point. It’s up on Kickstarter right now with a couple of weeks left.
