Uber-Copter

While the trip from any major city to the airport is one that will make you rethink your travel choices entirely, the one from Manhattan to JFK is particularly terrible. When we first heard that Uber Elevate flying cars were going to be a thing, we thought it would finally be the end of all those terrible trips. Flying cars aren’t here yet, but Uber Copter is. The recently revealed service is the brand’s first expansion into actual air travel, and it’s going to allow you to take a helicopter from Manhattan to JFK in a fraction of the time a normal car service would take. We’re not talking about saving a few minutes, we’re talking about a normal hour to two trip by land taking an almost impossible 8 minutes. More importantly, this isn’t some idea that’s going to take years to materialize, the service is rolling out in early July to Uber Platinum and Diamond members. As for pricing, the average ride starts at $200 per person, but that includes ground transportation to and from the helicopter.
