A rare single barn find car is reason to celebrate. 230 of them are something else, entirely. Dutch collector Ad Palmen was a car hoarder of the greatest kind and 40 years worth of them in two warehouses and a church. The executors of Palmen’s estate found the cars after Palmen became ill with dementia. The collection includes rarities like a Mercedes 300S Roadster, a Lancia Aurelia Spider, and an Alfa Romeo 2600 SZ coupe. Other marques include Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, BMW, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Maserati, and Cadillac, just to name a few. These well-kept and nicely running unrestored cars should garner serious money when they go up for auction starting Friday, May 19th. It’s unlikely that such a collection will every emerge again.

G5-Cool-Material

Vaer has been one of our favorite watchmakers for as long as we can remember because they produce new, classic watches based on iconic designs. Case in point, the Vaer G5 Meridian watch you see here. This timepiece is a 1950s-inspired 20ATM automatic watch that’s USA-assembled, dual timezone, built with ocean-ready functionality, self-winding and the brand’s first true GMT (the latest version of their core dive watch design). What’s more, it pays homage to other watches that are incredibly more expensive or hard to come by whilst also adding new aspects that makes this Vaer G5 Meridian watch more desirable than the other options in our opinion.
