Introducing the production model Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid. The much anticipated Spyder will have a limited production run for 2014 of 918 units with full production in 2015. Power comes from a 4.6 liter V-8 and two electric motors delivering a combined 887 hp. Sub 3 second 0-60 times are standard along with 216 mph top speed in classic Porsche style. There are four driving modes available with a peak fuel mileage of approximately 78 mpg. From a Porsche. By the way, this same 918 Spyder, in street legal form, just broke the all time record at Germany’s famed Nurbugring for a production vehicle, clocking the 12.8 miles at 6 minutes 57 seconds.
