Since 1939, the Lincoln Continental has been synonymous with American luxury. Big American luxury that, unfortunately, came to an end in 2002. That changes now. Making its debut at the NYIAS, Lincoln is bringing back the Continental as its flagship model. Taking inspiration from the Continental heritage, designers have created this concept to be a new symbol of American luxury. And there’s no doubt this is a Lincoln. Just look at the new grille, with the Lincoln logo merged into the mesh—soon to be the face of all Lincoln models. Press the nearly invisible e-latch and step into the interior appointed with Alcantara and leather seating. Seating that’s adjustable 30 ways, mind you. The center console runs right through the front seat and provides a workspace and tablet for rear passengers. A champagne chiller is included. While you would think that a V8 engine would be standard, this new Continental is actually going to equipped with the very capable Ford EcoBoost twin turbocharged V6. Available some time next year.
