It looks like the illustrious run of the iconic Defender is coming to an end. While Land Rover hasn’t completely shut the door on future production, they do seem to be prepping the off-road vehicle for retirement. And if they’re sending it out, they’re doing it the right way. Land Rover is making three very limited editions to celebrate the legendary Defender, each in honor of a different element of the versatile ride. The Autobiography Edition, Heritage Edition, and Adventure Edition models will be limited to just 80, 400, and 600 units respectively. The Heritage Edition is a nod to the earliest models of the ride, the Autobiography Edition gets all the luxury touches Land Rover is also known for, and the Adventure Edition gets some underbody protection and beefed-up tires for the times your journey takes you far from the interstate. A fitting end to one of the coolest rides ever made.
