When it comes to old school trucks and vintage SUVs, you’d be hard-pressed to find better than a classic Land Rover. The Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy Edition combines everything you love about old school Land Rover styling with modern performance and a special competition at the Land Rover UK testing grounds to boot. The entire vehicular experience–limited to 25 meticulous conversions, for the record–is based on Land Rover Classic’s re-engineered and rebuilt Defenders that are now outfitted with a 5.0-liter V8 mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission good for 399 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. From there, the exteriors of the re-engineered 2012 – 2016 Defenders are decked out in the distinctive Eastnor Yellow color scheme in honor of the Camel Trophy and outfitted with a winch, cage, fat wheels, intakes and other off-road accouterments. On the inside, the cabin is exquisitely finished with a Black Windsor leather interior with Recaro sport seats, Elliot Brown analog clock in the dashboard, contrasting yellow stitching and a level of comfort and control that are almost unheard of even in the most modern vehicles. As if the limited-edition vehicle itself isn’t reason enough to buy, getting your hands on one allows you access to three days of exclusive off-road competition and one-to-one tuition during the upcoming Land Rover Trophy Event.
