While it would look a bit out of place in the modern day WRC circuit, not that long ago the Lancia Stratos was a dominant force in rallying. In the early 1970s, Italian design house Bertone approached auto-manufacturer Lancia about a radical new car design. And so the Lancia Stratos HF Stradale was born. Now you have the opportunity to own one of these iconic racers as this will hit the auction at Sotheby’s London next month. Number 445 (out of 492) is a stunning blue, numbers matching Stratos that includes documented ownership back to 1975. Under the hood is a Dino (ahem Ferrari) V-6 with triple Webers with 192 horsepower connected to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The all-original drivetrain also features 4-wheel independent suspension and ventilated disc-brakes.
