CA-based Zero Motorcycles is one of the premier electric motorcycle companies for mass consumption, but they also collaborate for special one-off work like the new Zero XP, a custom-built electric bike by Hugo Eccles of Untitled Motorcycles. Zero actually provided the prototypes and expert staff to Eccles in order to build something really special. He took the SR/F pre-production version as the base for the XP. Just about everything superfluous from the SR/F was removed for both lightness and design. There’s a floating “tank” design that arcs over the frame with open space beneath since there’s no need to house fuel. The bodywork includes a trellis-like structure over the batteries, motor, and charger for all the world to see. The sheer power of it is on display, and the powertrain allows it to look both minimalist and potent, at the same time.
