2020 Land Rover Defender

After a long wait, the off-road legend returns in modern form. The 2020 Land Rover Defender promises even more rugged prowess but with more modern appointments and a fresh design. In 2-door 90 and 4-door 110 variants, the Defender carries over iconic cues like the round headlights in a rectangular housing, the small skylights, contrasting roof, and the flat tail section with its vertically hinged doors. Fully independent suspension at all four corners, active locking center differential and manually locking rear diff, and full-time four-wheel drive give it the guts it needs to conquer just about anything, and the adjustable suspension that goes between 8.5 and 11.5 inches of ground clearance ensures you get above it all. Two engines debut. A mild hybrid turbo 6 in the 90 that’s good for 395 horsepower and a turbo four in the 110 that’s good for 296 horses with the mild-hybrid engine as optional. Both can tow up to 8,200 pounds, too. To top things off, the interior is still handsomely rugged and capacious but now gets modern appointments like wood, metal, and crisp infotainment. You can also opt for front bench seats in both vehicles. Sales of the 110 start in the spring of 202, and then the 90 later in the year.
