Jeep still hasn’t confirmed whether or not they’re going to shoehorn in a big 707-horsepower Hellcat V8 engine in the new Jeep Gladiator Pickup, but Hennessey’s not waiting. They did it themselves and then some. The new and very appropriately named Maximus 1000 (get it?) not only gets the engine but a supercharged 1,000 horsepower version. To manage all that power is a new suspension with additional 6-inch lift, a new ECU, new stainless steel exhaust, and a new fuel management system. Wheels and tires are upgraded, the roof and bumper get super-bright LED light bars, and the front and rear bumpers are custom Maximus versions. The interior gets custom leather, so you won’t exactly be roughing it beyond what’s necessary. Only 24 of these monsters will be made at a bump of $166,545 plus the $33,345 Gladiator base vehicle.
