American supercars don’t get enough credit. The “new” 2020 Ford GT didn’t really need to improve on the third-gen version of the legend, but the blue oval went ahead and did it anyway with a power bump from 647 to an even 660, adds better cooling and bigger intercoolers for the twin turbos, and also pulls engine tech from the second-gen racing version. The GT also benefits from a new Akrapovič exhaust that reduces weight and adds a more aggressive exhaust note. The fresh Liquid Carbon edition uses clearcoat over real carbon fiber, and all panel weaves line up beautifully giving the GT a uniformity like no other CF car. There’s no word on pricing, but expect it to be seriously north of your 2019 tax return.
