LBJ-trailer

To be fair to the man and the people who study this sort of thing, we’re not exactly sure how LBJ is viewed by historians. We’ve heard plenty of genital related trivia for him, but we mostly hear about him in the shadow of JFK (the fact that two convenient three letter initials popped up notwithstanding). Though, as this trailer suggests, that might be by design. From what we’ve seen, LBJ seems to paint a portrait of Lyndon Johnson as a man who worked hard to get where he was, then almost completely retooled his presidency to honor the legacy of the man who came before him. It’s a move of integrity rarely seen in American politics of any time and, if it’s true, earns LBJ some serious credit in the “being a good person” department. Knowing Hollywood, there’s bound to be some dramatization and fictionalization, but hopefully there’s enough core truth to the story to make it worth seeing.
