Somewhere between Blade Runner, Fifth Element, Death Race and Mad Max you’ll find the futuristic apocalypse vehicles of Jomar Mochado. The Brazilian artist and 3D modeler has been working in artistic fields his entire life and was one of the first old school artists to jump headfirst into the world of digital more than two decades ago. His commitment to the medium shows in his work. Using a combination of 3D Studio Max, Mental Ray, HDR Light Studio and Photoshop, Mochado takes recognizable vehicles like a Beetle or a Bugatti Veyron and converts them into vicious looking rides with hover capabilities or fat tires, guns or missiles, and plenty of armor. He’s also given his unique treatment to a Ford 32, Ford Mustang, Porsche 356, Mercury coupe, an old school Chevy patrol, some concept bikes and even a Mini. All of his fantastic creations are only concepts, but we see no reason why they couldn’t all end up in a special release of Twisted Metal.
