Ian Fleming, the author and creator of the James Bond character, passed away in 1964, so it seems somewhat blasphemous that we’re getting a Bond origin story now, some 50+ years after his death. Forever and a Day features original material from Fleming, as Anthony Horowitz, the co-author of the novel, was granted access to Fleming’s archives in the creation of this tale. Set shortly before Casino Royale, the first Bond book, Forever and a Day details the early days of Bond as 007, after the previous 007 is found dead in the waters of Marseille.
