Maybe once a decade a movie will come out that shatters expectations in terms of stunning presentation. It may have took him 12 years for 3D technology to meet his vision, but James Cameron finally gave us an unforgettable visual experience with Avatar. Although Avatar follows a very basic plot, pitting greedy colonizers against tribal people protecting their land *cough* *Pocahonts*, this film delivers non-stop 3D goodness from the lush landscape of Pandora to badass battles between Na’vi warriors and monstrous futuristic weapons and machinery. And even if the blue cat people thing doesn’t do it for you, this is the DVD to show off your HDTV to you friends.
