Analogue’s Updated Super Nt

One of the most difficult hurdles to overcome with retro gaming is updating graphics to reflect modern technology. Pretty much every console before the Xbox 360 struggled with HD conversions, so hooking up your old Super Nintendo to your modern flat screen isn’t going to look good at all. Even modern retro consoles struggle with the thousands of additional pixels. But the Super Nt from Analogue is the first retro rerelease to promise a crisp HD display, even though it’s using your old Super Nintendo cartridges. That means 16-bit graphics seamlessly upscaled to beautiful HD, with sharp lines and bright colors, all coming from the cartridges you used to use on that huge piece of furniture that passed for a TV. If you’ve saved your old game collection, it’ll pay off in February of 2018 (when the console actually ships).
