Know the difference between a cheap chef’s knife and a nice, expensive one? Proper balance and a solid tang that runs through the handle, among other things. VEARK achieved the balance and simply did away with the handle, allowing the tang itself to function as the place you hold it. In other words, this chef’s knife is made from a single piece of stainless steel. The VEARK CK01 is drop forged in Solingen, Germany, a traditional knife-making town, and each sports a beautiful design all its own. The hard steel allows the blade to retain its sharpness, meaning it’s safer and easier to use. You can get in early on the Kickstarter, which just launched.

Xeric watches have always been bold, unique and stylish, but their newest watch is absolutely otherworldly. Xeric teamed up with NASA to create watches for the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11. The dial features a star map of the constellations surrounding Trappist-1. The grill references the ISS cupola window to give you the sense of looking out into space. The dome crystal is Hesalite, a material originally developed by NASA in the ’60s. Time is displayed with planetary hour and minute hands and stars on the sweeping seconds hand. It’s like wearing space on your wrist.
