While I pride myself on being a relatively tidy person, I loathe the window and glass cleaning process. Mostly because I have yet to find a cleaner/squeegee/towel solution that doesn’t leave behind a bit of residue or streaking. So my window cleaning dilemma is exactly why I’m excited by the GLARC. The GLARC looks more like a sci-fi spaceship than a household cleaning device but it offers a simple and effective process. The designs actually take cues from shape of the Arctic Tern resulting in a unique shape. That naturalistic and ergonomic design is supposed to allow users a comfortable grip and the ability to reach a wider surface area. Moreover there’s a button on top that dispenses water from a built-in water container. It also comes with a sponge and a rubber blade that wipes the window clean.

The most ingenious facet, however, is the magnets within the GLARC which would allow you to hold another cleaner on the other side of the window so you can clean both the outside and inside glass simultaneously. The GLARC, designed by Vinay D. Khairnar, is currently a concept prototype but could become a reality.
