That’s why we’re intrigued by the Pack Horse from designer Michael Cooper. The Pack Horse is an “active” lounge chair. What does that mean? Well, its clever features lend a hand whether you’re looking to write, draw, read, play an instrument, or don some headphones and take in some vinyl. A bookshelf is integrated around the exterior of the base, so your favorite reads are always at hand. A secret storage space under the seat holds drawing pads, pens and pencils, and whatever else you need on hand for your creative pursuits. There’s even a strap-down space for a blanket and a rope-stitched magazine rack. Sure you could binge The Americans sitting in the Pack Horse, but we’d encourage you to create something when you plop down.
