If you’ve never heard of Japanese brand Balmuda–we hadn’t either until recently–they’re a company that puts the same level of attention and design detail into kitchen appliances that Dyson puts into vacuums and Elon Musk puts into, well, all his crazy inventions. Balmuda’s The Toaster is quite simply the most gorgeous kitchen appliance we’ve ever seen, and we never thought we’d call a toaster oven gorgeous. The sleek and minimal The Toaster uses a combination of steam technology, heat control, five different cooking methods and three different precisely controlled temperature zones to create the perfect toast. We’re talking a nice light to dark brown on the outside paired with a moist and flavorful inside that tastes like it just came out of a professional oven. Really, this is a professional level oven and not just because of the price tag. Whether you’re using it in bread, sandwich, pizza, pastry or oven mode, The Toaster makes some of the best toast you’ll ever have at home.

Retro-Video-Game-Puzzle-IF2

We’ve long been obsessed with Things Organized Neatly, the Tumblr, Instagram account, and book that displays collections of items arranged in pleasing ways. It’s the reason we’re hard at work on this puzzle. When finished, the puzzle depicts a collection of retro video games and gaming systems aligned ever so perfectly. Each is made in the USA by the New York Puzzle Company and features original photography from artist Jim Golden. At 1000 pieces, it will put you to work for some time, but when you complete it you can use some puzzle glue and frame it on your wall. Out of chaos comes order, right?
