ice-ball-mold-1

Leave it to the Japanese to reinvent something as simple the ice cube. Apparently American ice cubes just aren’t good enough because they have a large surface area which causes the ice to melt faster. We can’t confirm or deny the science behind it, but making round ice balls instead of cubes seems perfectly logical to us. At the end of the day, you’re the one that really suffers without it because last we checked you ordered a rum and diet (New Year’s resolution time) and not a rum and water. You set this crazy contraption up in your kitchen and insert one of the ice blocks you created using their mold. A short amount of time later (it can pump out 30-40 an hour if you move that quick) you pop the quick release on the bottom and voila – perfect ice ball. Your drink will thank you.
