It’s not uncommon these days to wait multiple hours in line for that one bottle of whiskey or beer that your collection is missing. See: all of the Pappiez, Dark Lord, Bourbon County and the like. Russian River’s Pliny the Younger is one of those bucket list beers that you will have to wait multiple hours for. That’s right, you couldn’t even take it home with you. We wrote about the entire experience in our piece Tasting Pliny the Younger & The Case For Waiting 4 Hours For One Beer, and despite the wait, it was absolutely worth it. In about a month, you’ll be able to enjoy the beer in the comfort of your own home because for the first time ever, Russian River is bottling Pliny the Younger. The cult brew will be released on February 7th at their Windsor and Santa Rosa brewpubs with 2 bottles available for purchase to every patron while supplies last. That last “while supplies last” part is very important because, if it’s like every other release (it will be), it will sell out almost instantly.

We pride ourselves on being able to tackle problems and jigsaw puzzles like everyone else–from the edge pieces in. That’s a little more difficult when it comes to thousand piece adventures like the Moon puzzle you see here. In is out, out is in, and there’s an entire quadrant of almost fully gray pieces that depict the lunar surface, but all of that just adds to the productive difficulty you’ll experience when you’re assembling this jigsaw version of modern history. As they tell it, “July 16, 2019 marked the 50 year anniversary of the Apollo 11 launch – the historic mission to the Moon where Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first of humankind to set foot on the Moon. Our Moon puzzle celebrates this momentous achievement and will challenge and delight puzzle solvers everywhere.”
