The Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore has been churning out some of the most innovative products the brand has released in years. We thought Guinness Over the Moon Milk Stout was going to be their last release in 2019, but we were wrong. Guinness just released details about the upcoming Guinness Stock Ale Bourbon Barrel-Aged Beer that was just released. This is the latest version of the Guinness Stout aged in Bulleit Bourbon barrels they did last year, but this time around it’s slightly different. A stock ale is traditionally a blend of two different beer styles, so Guinness started by brewing their Barleywine and Imperial Stout, aging them separately in Bulleit Bourbon barrels and then blending them together to create the 10% ABV, high-gravity, full-bodied Guinness Stock Ale. Guinness Stock Ale was available at the Brewery and around the greater Baltimore area just in time for International Stout Day on November 7th. It’s expected to drop in four-packs in national markets on November 15th.
