Malt liquor gets a bad rap. Long the means for getting shitfaced on the cheap in college, the beverage has never been talked about the way a double dry-hopped IPA has. Founders wants to change that. DKML, the latest release in the brewery’s Barrel-Aged Series, is a malt liquor that’s been aged in bourbon barrels and heavily hopped. Don’t worry, you still get that classic corn sweetness that will remind you of nights passed out on your frat house’s basement floor, but now it’s combined with a dose of wood, vanilla, and floral hoppiness. DKML will be available in 4-packs of 12 oz. bottles, and 750ml bottles beginning next month. Brown paper bag not included.
