The Bonham’s whisky auction is the first for the famed auction house, and to say it’s momentous is an understatement. 189 lots from Italian collections consists of gems like a Laphroaig Scotch from 1967 that’s touted as one of the best-ever single malts, a 12-year-old Springbank, and a rare 1938 bottle of The Macallan that was bottled by the famed Gordon & MacPhail. It’s numbered a coveted 11 and presented in a vintage wooden case.
