Bluetooth / NFC pairing. Passive Bass Radiator. 360 degree sound. Portable. Available in different colors. Those points could be used to describe quite a few different Bluetooth speakers on the market. What separates the Sol Republic Deck from the competition that has more than a few of the same attributes? Let’s start with Heist Mode. (No, it’s not a free copy of the Macklemore / Ryan Lewis album; you’ll have to provide that yourself.) In Heist Mode, up to five people can pair with the Deck at the same time and take turns playing songs or nixing horrible choices. It’s real-life, physical Turntable.fm basically. The Deck also has two separate modes for indoor and outdoor (sound boost) use. The range is a reported 300 feet. It also has a Stereo-Out jack so you can daisy chain Decks together, or plug it into another device. If Deck is anything like their headphones, it’s awesome.

A pocket square is a touch of old school class. It’s an element that casually lets people know you’re a gentleman. This knife from Gerber borrows its name from the humble pocket square because it too is sharp and dressy. Eschewing superfluous design elements for a sleek, clean appearance, the Gerber Pocket Square Knife is refined and mature. The machined aluminum handle is paired with a 3” drop point blade and an ambidextrous thumb lift for one stunning folder. If James Bond relied on a pocket knife, this would be it.
