Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus
The Samsung Galaxy S8 was one of the top pieces of consumer tech of 2017. Samsung is following up that success with the new Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, which combine some of the great features of the previous model with new tech and package it all in a familiar body. The most notable changes you’ll find in the two S9 models are focused around the cameras on the back. This latest iteration includes a camera with a mechanically adjustable aperture that can switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4 depending on the conditions you’re shooting in. The fingerprint scanner has been moved below the rear camera (or cameras if you opt for the dual lens S9 Plus) for easier access. It’s also got a slightly brighter screen, stereo speakers and improved power efficiency. The Galaxy S9 and S9 plus will be available starting March 16 with prices starting at $720 for the S9 and $840 for the S9 Plus to buy them outright from Samsung, but each carrier will also have different monthly/trade-in deals.
