You might think your current iPhone app library is adequate, but there’s always room for augmentation. (Just ask Pam Anderson.) Slacker Radio, Textfree, and Tweetdeck might be great, but there’s always room for more Playboy… or so we thought.
According to Playboy, the app gives you access to all the parts of the magazine – things like the interviews, 20 Questions, Hanging With Hef, and the Advisor – but it’s parentally guided (read: boobless or even SFW) according to GearFuse. In their words, “Unless you’re one of those men who buy Playboy for the articles, the Playboy iPhone app will likely be nothing more than an aggravating tease. The closest thing you’ll get is some sexy non-nude shots and a few cropped pics.”
Sure, Playboy without the tits is like MTV without the music, but even that refuses to die (and somehow remains a huge commercial success). Now you can spend your “work day” reading all about Glenn Beck, Vladimir Nabokov, and James Cameron and wallpapering your iPhone with the Playboy bunny. Unfortunately, you’re going to have to hit the website or pick-up a paper copy to “read” all about Joanna Krupa’s goodies.
