Military Intelligence. Bad sex. Corporate responsibility. You can agree to disagree, but those are all modern day oxymorons. And now… inadequate clothing. Yes, that’s right, inadequate clothing. So inadequate in fact, that it got a young woman kicked out of school in Brazil.
Here is the timeline:
October 22 – Geisy Arruda wears the not-so-mini minidress to school. She gets expelled after a stern talking to… by a number of enraged students.
Nov 9 – The story spreads like a bad vampire movie turned Internet meme. Bandeirante University publishes a local newspaper advertisement accusing Arruda of showing up in “inadequate clothing” and displaying a provocative attitude “incompatible with the university environment.” (For the record, the dress went halfway down onto her knees.)
Nov 10 – Arruda becomes eligible to reinsert herself into the student body of Bandeirante. A maid from Rio de Janeiro comments, “If I had a body like hers, I’d show it off, too.” (There had to be a reason we chose to have the Olympics there.)
Inadequate clothing and provocative attitudes are not incompatible with the university environment, they ARE the university environment. Hello administration, it’s called the college experience for a reason. There are currently two things Brazil is associated with – violence and dental floss bikinis – people don’t visit for the violence.
It’s a good thing the administration retracted their expulsion before someone from the Geisy Arruda (RDA) crack legal team did a Google Image Search for Brazil because apparently the place is filled with bikinis.
