Hipster-Branding

Let’s talk about irony for a moment. Hipsters like to think of themselves as unique and streets ahead of everyone else, yet somehow they all look identical (square glasses, skinny jeans, scarves all-year-round). The same could be said about the logos of Hipster Branding—they too all look identical (san-serif fonts, simple graphics, an old-timey vibe). Hipsters roll their eyes at corporate logos with serifs or color and insist that they know better when it comes to design. But what would happen if they actually got to design corporate logos? Hipster Branding by Dave Spengeler features simplified versions of well known brands like McDonalds, Adidas, Apple and Mercedes Benz.

A pocket square is a touch of old school class. It’s an element that casually lets people know you’re a gentleman. This knife from Gerber borrows its name from the humble pocket square because it too is sharp and dressy. Eschewing superfluous design elements for a sleek, clean appearance, the Gerber Pocket Square Knife is refined and mature. The machined aluminum handle is paired with a 3” drop point blade and an ambidextrous thumb lift for one stunning folder. If James Bond relied on a pocket knife, this would be it.
