Diederick Kraaijeveld’s Reclaimed Relief Art

Walkabouts frequently lead to found treasures. Images of native populations (we’re talking girls obviously), tiny trinkets and fun souvenirs are commonplace, but nothing like what Diederick Kraaijeveld does with what he finds in Holland. Using reclaimed, genuine wood that he scavenges on field trips, Kraaijeveld creates fantastic Reclaimed Relief Collages with subject matters ranging from Heineken cans to Starbucks cups to vintage pistols. Compared to his work those seashell pictures we used to make seem just a little less impressive.
