Onewheel+ XR Electric ‘Skateboard’

The original Onewheel was introduced in 2014, offering a new, interesting method of transportation, a self-balancing “skateboard” with one large wheel powered by an on-board battery. It became a hit. Now, years later, we get the Onewheel+ XR, a new and improved version of the popular Onewheel. The range has been bumped up to 12–18 miles, meaning you could feasibly use this thing to commute to work if you live in a city. Just like the most recent Onewheel model, the Onewheel+ XR can hit speeds of up to 19 mph, all while you simply lean forward to accelerate and lean back to come to a stop. An app allows for messing with the LEDs and giving you some social functions that relate to sharing info about your rides. You can pre-order now if you’re willing to pony up the $1,799 the new Onewheel costs.
