BMW Restored Elvis’s 507

At first glance, this faded red BMW 507 looks to have the proverbial “one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.” The oxidized paint, rust, body corrosion, even the bent antenna—junkyard right? Wrong. Dead wrong. See this particular 507 belonged to none other than The King himself, Elvis Presley. So you see, this 507 wasn’t headed to the scrapyard, it was headed to Munich. After initially being on display, the 507 was handed over to the talented folks at BMW Group Classic for a painstaking restoration to the original condition. Layers upon layers of paint had to be removed, body panels filled, even a 507-correct engine needed to be found, as the original was shelved in favor of  American V-8 muscle. But, in the end, all the hard work came together to restore this sports car befitting of the King of Rock and Roll.
