R.E.M. “Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage: 1982 – 2011”

These days, alternative rock music can be anything from The Strokes to Yeah Yeah Yeahs and just about everything in between. In the early 1980s though, it didn’t even exist. And then R.E.M. came along. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past two decades, you’ve heard at least one R.E.M. song in your lifetime. Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage: 1982 – 2011 is two discs of almost three decades of alternative rock noise candy courtesy of R.E.M. Everything from “Radio Free Europe” to “What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?” can be found on these two compact discs. R.E.M. might officially be no more, but that doesn’t mean you can’t relive their glory days with this collection of jams.
