It’s always nice to see that your childhood heroes are doing well and the ragtag group of X-Wing pilots, Jedi, droids, and interstellar smugglers are no different. Between Princess Leia’s time in Episodes VI and VII, she put out a genre-defying album while Han Solo made ends meet with an engaging David Bowie cover act. Cloud City is run by the leader formerly known as Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca loves hard rock and it’s probably why he lost his voice.

Steven Lear is the source for these excellent pop culture mashups and there are many, many more on his website. He’s a freelance digital artist with a pretty heavy focus on movies and music, with some serious Photoshop chops. A lot of similar mashups end up being cheesy, but Lear’s work makes us wish we could hear what AC/DC would sound like with R2-D2 as their frontman.

Ah, the waffle weave. Looks cool, feels great, reminds us of toasted Eggos. You’ve seen them before–probably in a fancy store or hotel–but Parachute’s brand new Waffle Towels are different. They’re spun using innovative Aerocotton Technology, which basically means they’ll be dry by the time your significant other finally gets out of the shower and realizes you stole their towel. Parachute’s Waffle Towels come in two sizes and two neutral colors. Plus, their 100% cotton construction means they start soft and only get softer with time. Even Kevin McCallister would approve.
